Objective
Design and delivery of fly ash injection to build UG seals in roadways to reduce oxygen movement. This included 4,500t of the fly ash as a slurry into areas of the mine which were undergoing heating’s and affecting the nearby town with sulfur pollution. This was delivered in 2011.
Scope
Tim project managed intro to site, logistics, QA/QC, HR, IR and workers and a design methodology to control oxidation of old underground workings which were being affect by nearby open cut mining.
Result
Oxidation reduce fugitive fumes and risks to Muswellbrook Coal Mine.
