Objective
Backfilling of the disused Southern Mains, and subsequent Pre-Driven Recovery Roadways (PDRR), with 36,000m3 grout to enable longwall mining through the previously mined area.
GEM personnel supplied Project Management, and a carefully planned backfill strategy including borehole and reticulation design, resulting in 100% roof contact and a successfully executed project.
Scope
Supply and management of plant, equipment and logistics, to deliver the project. GEM personnel managed plant ‘intro to site’, HR, IT, Engineering, QA/QC, mix design, maintenance management and all aspects of the service to achieve this project outcome.
Result
BMA’s LW successfully mined through Southern Mains, increasing mine production and resource utilisation.
